Starting school is an exciting and significant time in every child's life. A positive start to school can lead to children developing a lifelong love of learning. In Prep at Loganholme State School we encourage and emphasise active, hands-on learning, problem solving, effective communication and social skills, creativity and participation. We work together to create a community of confident and enthusiastic learners, enhanced by the open communication between teachers, parents and caregivers, administration and other professionals.
Prep is the first year of school and provides the foundation for your child's education. It is compulsory for Queensland children to undertake Prep prior to Year 1. Prep is a full-time program in primary schools and has a defined curriculum. Children must be 5 years old by 30 June in the year they start Prep.
