At Loganholme State School, we recognise that students' social and emotional wellbeing is vital to ensuring successful academic outcomes. It is important that students develop a sense of belonging and have the social skills to forge friendships and manage conflicts respectfully. The HUB is a structured lunchtime play program that is open to all students. Play sessions are facilitated by a teacher to encourage turn taking, kind words and cooperation. Activities are developed to support a range of interests and are differentiated to appeal to students of all ages. HUB activities include construction, play dough, puzzles, dress ups and pretend play with shopping and cooking items. In cooler months, students enjoy outdoor activities such as chalk drawing, bubble blowing and outdoor games. Activities in the HUB are changed twice per term to provide variety and maintain interest. The HUB is open Monday to Friday during second break.
