Comparing a number of different schools and finding the right one for a child can be a complicated and sometimes stressful process for a family. There are so many considerations and on the surface all schools sound great.
How do you know if Loganholme State School will be the right fit for your child and your family? That is a decision that only you can make, but this may help you appreciate more easily what makes Loganholme such a great place to be.
Our school will play a significant role in the lives of children as they grow and develop. In partnership with parents and other members of the community, our school will provide students with a high standard of education that equips them with the knowledge, skills, and attributes needed to be successful in the future.
To achieve this, committed staff display enthusiasm, dedication and high level teaching skills to deliver personalised programs that are responsive to student need and interest.
Our academic programs are aligned to the Australian Curriculum and we use the Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C) as our major resource. They promote consistency within and across year levels and offer an environment rich in active, investigative and lifelong learning, where students set achievement goals and strive to achieve them.
Our classrooms and facilities offer contemporary learning environments enriched by the latest in technology to enhance learning and provide a portal to the world beyond the four walls of a classroom.
To support student’s interests and social development, various lunchtime activities are available for students to participate in at lunch times. These include:
I encourage you to keep in regular contact with your child’s teacher and you are always welcome to visit the school to discuss your child’s progress or other aspects of your child’s schooling with myself, the Deputy Principals, our Special Education Teacher and our Guidance Officer.
The Parent Handbook (PDF, 210 KB) provides you with some basic information about our school’s operations.
You are also able to keep in touch with the school by attending the monthly Parents & Citizens meeting or by reading the school’s newsletter, which is available via Website, email or a hard copy can be requested from the school office.
We are proud of our school and I look forward to you and your family becoming an important part of our school community.
